most of the salmon rivers are discoloured apart from the kiapoi river. the might be discoloured for a couple of days. if you are going down use bright shiny silver zeds.

From what I saw today the Kaiapoi was pretty dirty right up at the wharf, and filthy out by the Mak!

usually if the mak is dirty the kaiapoi will be dirty as well on the high tide it often will be clean around low tide and the start of incomming right up to about where it joins with the cam river

waimak was ok this morning, no fish though that I saw in a few hours there, not even KY

yea mak was a lil milky when i went over it yesterday but noting to bad
