That’s very disappointing, those are the best months for fishing, and the best times for people who work and families to go fishing. It’s not a very good compromise for people fishing, and some of the people who contributed towards the pier did it because they expected it would be used for fishing.
They’d have to ban fishing completely to avoid having to waterblast the blood and guts away.
Sometimes I like to go to the pier and catch the dawn/incoming tide combo in the weekend and am gone by about 8am, but they want us gone by 6am, how ridiculous!
Another disappointing aspect is that there are now less safe places to fish, especially if you are taking kids fishing. This decision will probably indirectly cause at least one extra drowning in the long run.
