The second pic is a fat rainbow hen taken in the Tekapo Canal Stilling Basin by this Christchurch angler on a Tasmanian Devil. An old lure that casts and catches trout very well, even in the canals. Mind you the Stilling Basin is probably more like a still water, at least in parts.
